The Eastern Institute of Technology, Ningbo (EIT) is dedicated to preparing the next generation of researchers and innovators. Its graduate programs emphasize interdisciplinary learning, global collaboration, and real-world impact, enabling students to address complex challenges through advanced study and research.

  • EIT's graduate education follows a "Dual-Campus, Dual-Supervisor" model, which offers students the flexibility to study and conduct research both at EIT and partner institutions. This model supports joint Ph.D. programs and close academic cooperation with leading universities, giving students access to diverse research environments and mentorship from experts across disciplines.

  • Since 2022, EIT has enrolled 437 doctoral students across four cohorts. These students form part of an expanding international research community supported by partnerships with Shanghai Jiao Tong University, the University of Science and Technology of China, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and the University of Warwick. Through these collaborations, graduate students gain exposure to world-class research facilities, interdisciplinary projects, and opportunities for global exchange.

  • By integrating global partnerships with a strong academic foundation, EIT's graduate programs aim to equip students with the skills, knowledge, and perspective to contribute meaningfully to scientific progress and technological innovation—both in China and around the world.
